Expelled MP Shaba Not Seeking Court Relief

Malawi’s Member of Parliament for Blantyre Bangwe who has had his seat declared vacant crossing the floor says he respects the decision by the Speaker of Parliament.
“I will not be going to court. It’s part of life. I have lots of things to do so I must move on,” said Shaba.
He said as a human being he is prepared to meet obstacles in life.
Mr Shawa, who owns a construction company, further told Zodiak Online that it is only God who holds his destiny.
Meanwhile, there have been mixed reactions in Blantyre Bangwe Constituency following the expulsion of the MP.
While some constituents hail the move as a lesson to unprincipled MPs who change political parties, others said it will deny them representation in parliament.—Zodiak Online
