PAC Pays Tribute to Bingu
LILONGWE: The Public Affairs Committee (PAC) has paid special tribute to late President Bingu wa Mutharika, describing him as a determined person who was eager to achieve the desired goal.
Ironically, just last month PAC called for the President’s resignation accusing him of economic mismanagement.
“PAC does not have words strong enough to express how deeply affected we are as a nation as a result of the loss. The late Bingu wa Muthalika’s determination to achieve the desired goals will be remembered by many Malawians,” reads a statement signed by PAC’s Publicity Secretary Reverend Maurice Muthali and Board Secretary Shareef Imuran Mahomed.
“The departure of the state President obviously has brought in the need to exercise sober-mindedness and respect for the constitutional provisions. PAC believes that the constitution of the Republic of Malawi must be fully respected by all Malawians.”
Meanwhile PAC said will continue providing checks and balances to the next government.
“Following PAC’s All-Inclusive stakeholders conference, we will continue to provide checks and balances even to the VP in order to reclaim the lost destiny,” reads the statement further.—Zodiak Online
