Thyolo Chiefs Apologise to JB

Some senior chiefs from Thyolo district on Wednesday met President Joyce Banda at Sanjika Palace in Blantyre to apologize over Sunday’s violence.

 

Cash Transfer to Benefits 8000 families

The Social Cash Transfer Programme also known as Mtukula Pakhomo has doubled the number of households to benefit from the programme in Phalombe from the initial 4, 000 households to over 8, 000 households.

   

Tobacco Production Reduced

The Tobacco Control Commission-TCC says there is a reduction in tobacco volumes set for sale during this year’s selling season which starts on Monday next week.

 

PP Condemns DPP for Thyolo Violence

The ruling People’s Party in Malawi has accused opposition Democratic Progressive Party DPP of being behind the violence that led to the killing of two people including a police officer on Sunday during a development rally addressed by President Joyce Banda.
