CoolPro Entertainment’s CoolPro Empresses have joined a bandwagon of artists fighting the COVID-19 by releasing a track called COVID-19.

Director of CoolPro Entertainment, Duffy Chikakuda, says the project aims at raising the spirits among the people in this trying moment.

“As you know people are in their homes. As they are in their homes, they should not lose hope because of the virus. They should have hope that sooner or later, this virus will disappear only if we unite and fight,” he said.

Chikakuda says the virus has hit hard the entertainment sector in the country.

“Most of our musicians rely on the shows; when we book them, we pay them. They rely on the same money to feed their families. Now that we don’t hold show anymore because of COVID-19, there is no option for our musicians. It is a very big problem for our musicians at the moment,” said Chikakuda.

Chikakuda says the track is an African project which includes Malawi.
