As time is fast racing to the premiere of Malawian Movie, Fatsani: A tale of Survival, the project has seen a boost following clinch of a deal between Umodzi Park and HD Plus Creations which will see the latter paying half of the actual price for the venue.

The deal which has been signed yesterday in Lilongwe comes barely days after the movie creators, HD Plus Creations, began an online campaign to have the movie streamed online on Netflix through overwhelming response on Twitter.

The premiere which is drive in style will be first of its kind where guests will get to watch the movie in their cars.

Promoter of the movie from HD Plus Creations, Temwanani Luhanga, commended Umodzi Park for timely saving them.

“We have exhausted most of our funds through filming and other costs incurred during production. The cost to host the premiere the movie was giving us a headache and coming in of Umodzi Park to our rescue is very timely.

“Now we will only pay about K3 million and the rest will be covered by Umodzi Park” said Luhanga.

Matamando Chagunda, Sales and Marketing Manager of BICC, says being solely 100 percent Malawian company, they thought of coming in and assist the creative works of Malawians.

“As BICC we are fully operational now and noting that Fatsani is a Malawian movie which features Malawians, we thought of coming and assist,” said Chagunda.

Fatsani Movie has also recently received a boost in sponsorship from Sky Energy Africa, Eagle Sight Security Services and Homesphere Advertising.

Fatsani is a movie inspired by true events and centers around a young girl survival in a tough mean world.
