FDH Bank Donates K5 Million to ICAM

FDH Bank has bankrolled K5 million towards the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi (ICAM) annual conference slated from 15 to 17 September 2022 themed: “Digitizing Malawi’s Economy”.

The bank’s Head of Finance Richard Chipezeyani said at a cheque handover ceremony in Blantyre that the bank is committed to contribute to professionalism of accountants in the digital world.

"We are always proud to support development of the accountancy profession within FDH and Malawi. We thought this event will be a good platform where accountants can develop relevant skills," Chipezeyani said.

He further says the theme for forthcoming conference resonates with the bank's motives in digitizing Malawi's economy.

ICAM Director of Education and Training Chrissy Jere expressed gratitude by FDH’s gesture adding, the coming conference will equip the accountants with up-to-date digital skills ousting the manual ways accounting in the ever-changing digital world.

"I would like to thank FDH Bank for the support of K5 million. As we all aware that we are still recovering from effects Covid-1 it's not easy for an institution to make such a donation," she said.
