134 Exhibitors Set for 33rd Malawi International Trade Fair

Malawi Confederation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MCCCI) says the 33rd International Trade Fair will be held from May 17 to May 26th 2023 at the Trade Fair Grounds in Blantyre.

MCCCI Head of Business Linkages and Events Linda Pete told Zodiak that there is excitement among business players evidenced by the number of bookings made for the event.

She said several pavilion spaces have already been booked.

She further said business players from the international community are attending the fair this year with those from Mozambique and Zimbabwe already confirming their participation.

“We have seen the interest from several stakeholders for the fair which is encouraging. We hope the fair will be a success,” said Pete.

Indigenous Business Association of Malawi (IBAM) says the fair is an opportunity for local business people to clinch trade deals.

IBAM President Mike Mlombwa says the number of participants at the fair speaks volumes of excitement that locals have toward the fair.

“This is a rare opportunity for business people in the country to showcase what they have. We hope that this will present us with an opportunity for them and in the end boost businesses,” said Mlombwa

The theme for this year’s fair is ‘Rebalancing Malawi’s Trade through Industrialization'.
