Malawi Electoral Commission Chief Elections Officer, Sam Alfandika, confessed in the constitutional court that minutes of meetings held by the commission about the disputed elections have not been brought to court because he did not see the need.

Alfandika made the confession when Modecai Msisha, lawyer for MCP president Lazarus Chakwera cross-examined him Friday in relation to management of the 2019 elections.

The MEC CEO is in his second day of cross-examination after going through the same process with lawyers for UTM president Saulos Chilima in the same court Thursday.
