Kwenda, aged 54, was brutally murdered on the eve of the new-year’s last year.
He was attacked and butchered in his house in the presence of a nine-year-old son at Kande in Nkhata Bay district.
State advocate, Waliko Mkosi, told Zodiak Media that in her court Tuesday, presiding judge, Dorothy de’ Gabriel, has ruled that suspects; Frank Kweni Khonje, Peter Phoya, Banda Gwera and Banda Bonzo Chirwa answer murder charges.
Meanwhile, three other hitherto suspects; Francis Chipateni Kalua, Lawrence Kalua and Ceaser Banda have been found with no case to answer.
Judge De’ Gabriel has also acquitted all the seven of an earlier charge of genocide.
The murder of Kwenda rekindled a national debate on the safety and care for persons with albinism in Malawi as the attacked had become wide spread and barbaric.
