Mozambican President Filipe Nyusi is in the country for a three-day visit where he will also attend the 5th SADC Industrialization Week at Bingu International Conference Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe.

On his arrival, Monday morning, President Chakwera led his Mozambican counterpart at Civic Offices where he signed a visitors bookmarking his three-day tour.

On the first day, Nyusi also laid a wreath at the Kamuzu mausoleum in respect of Malawi’s first President Dr. Hastings Kamuzu Banda.

The Mozambican President, proceeding with his tour, planted a tree outside the national assembly’s VVIP lounge.

Nyusi is the guest of honor at the launch of the SADC industrialization week organized by the SADC business council which aims to foster opportunities for Intra-African trade and Investment in the region.

The two presidents are expected to visit the Marka railway project in Nsanje on Tuesday and Wednesday, Dr. Chakwera and Nyusi will hold a private meeting that will be followed by a media briefing later in the day to give updates on what the two presidents discussed in the three-day visit.
