The Alliance for Democracy (AFORD) and the Peoples Party have confirmed of the with meeting with President Chakwera at Kamuzu Palace on Friday afternoon.

AFORD President Enoch Chihana says the meeting is so paramount to deliberate on key national issues although they have not been given agenda of the gathering.

"I am not aware of the meeting agenda but as a party we are optimistic that the discussion will assist to provide perspective solutions to the current economic woes," Chihana.

For Ackson Kalaile Banda Peoples Party Spokesperson their leader Joyce Banda is expected to attend the meeting although they have not been told of the meeting agenda.

"We believe in working together and we taking this meeting seriously to deliberate best modalities that can bail out Malawians from various challenges," Kalaile added.

The Tonse Alliance partners held a similar meeting last year.
