Malawian Diaspora Network has procured sundry medical equipment most of them Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) meant for nine health facilities in several districts across the country.

Life Care Malawi Foundation has been entrusted to distribute the equipment in all the nine facilities.

Life care Malawi Foundation President Pax Matipwiri “Malawi diaspora network in United States of America donated the personal protective equipment and other medical equipment from Malawian business people and asked us to distribute on the network's behalf."

He says they started with Kasinje health center in Ntcheu on Thursday and will reach out eight more health facilities across all regions in the country.

Kasinje health center in charge Rahim Solea says the PPE has come at a right time considering the Covid 19 pandemic.

Solea says: "We are very grateful for the donation as we received inadequate supply from the district health office and our lives were at higher risk."

Life Care Malawi Foundation also donated clothes and beddings to all children born at Kasinje health center on Thursday.
