Justice Mwaungulu has told Zodiak on Thursday afternoon that what the judiciary is doing is digging itself into the hole.
“I am shocked that my fellow judges are distancing themselves on the outlaw of the death penalty,” said Mwaungulu
The Judge thinks he is being unfairly treated, alleging this is not the first time that his colleagues at the supreme court bench, have accused him of rendering wrong verdicts, citing the presidential elections in which he claims to have offered a dissenting view.
Malawi Law Society President Patrick Mpaka was reluctant to comment on the recent revelations surrounding the Supreme Court of Appeal death penalty verdicts.
Quasi-Religious body Public Affairs Committee PAC spokesperson Bishop Gilford Matonga says PAC will not give its position now.
Earlier, human rights lawyer Alaxious Kamangira and University of Malawi law expert Professor Garton Kamchezera called on the Judiciary to be accountable.
