There is hope that students that will emerge star performers in this year’ Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) will have an opportunity to be flown to Victoria falls in Zambia.

Maranatha Academy Managing Director, Ernest Kaonga, has told us yesterday that the students will be drawn from both public and private schools.

Kaonga said this initiative is aimed at motivating outstanding students to continue working hard and aiming high in life.

“We are operating in this country to assist the government in promoting quality education. So, top students that will score six points will fly to Victoria falls to have some fun and life experiences. That aside, we will also continue with our MSCE top performers awards,” explained Kaonga.

The Managing Director added that in 2014, the academy also took 50 MSCE star performers to South Africa.

After finishing the 2022 MSCE examinations, Maranatha Parents Teachers Association organized an air trip for the students from Blantyre to Lilongwe to motivate them to remain focused, hard work and disciplined.

Recently, an official from the private schools Association of Malawi Patricia Chisi expressed hope that with the thorough management of MSCE examinations this year, deserving students will do well.

On its part, the ministry of Education through Deputy Minister Monica Chayang’anamuno said the government remains committed to promoting quality education for all students in Malawi.
