Barbara Banda has since equated the vice to witchcraft, while calling on the women and girls to report such men.

Banda said men who sleep with their daughters do not have place in the society, imploring women and girls to report such men to relevant authorities for action.

"They should be imprisoned and given the punishments that are not of this world. We the adults, let's start fighting such men," she said.

Another activist, Jessie Ching'oma has hailed the media and other stakeholders for bringing out the malpractice, stressing that women and girls themselves are key in ending it.

"Continued sensitization and awareness that including the laws that have actually managed to give more confidence to girls and people to report the vice," Ching'oma said.

This comes after last week, police in Mangochi arrested the 40-year-old prophet, Christopher Phiri, following a tip that he was in love affair with his biological daughter and they later found nude pictures in his phonevindicating the allegations.

Similarly in Thyolo, a man James Pelani is in cooler for allegedly impregnating her stepdaughter.

The police have also arrested the girl's mother, Femia Nyadana, on suspicion that she blessed the sexual arrangement to please the man since she could not conceive due to other health issues.

It is reported that the girl who was in Form one but dropped out, is now a mother of one.
