PRISAM Ushers in New Leaders
The Private Schools Association of Malawi (PRISAM) has elected new leaders to lead the Association at an elective conference held on Sunday at Mponela in Dowa.
The Association has elected Dr. Ernest Kaonga as its new president with Patricia Chisi as his vice.
Aamon Mtafya, Henry Kumwenda and Dr Moloko of Michiru View Private Schools are the trustees.
The Association has also elected Patricia Makobiri and Beatrice Makwati as board members.
In his acceptance speech, Dr. Kaonga who is also managing director of Maranatha Academy said he will make sure that private schools deliver quality education in the country.
"Our job is to complement government in offering education services and we are geared to do exactly that by making sure that we deliver quality services," he said.
The Association has also launched a Savings and Credit Cooperative to uplift the socio-economic lives of its members.
