Bushiri Case Adjourned to 10 July

Chief Resident Magistrate Madalitso Chimwaza has adjourned hearing of the extradition case involving Prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife Prophetess Mary to 10 July 2023.

The Chief Magistrate has adjourned the case after she failed to start hearing testimony from South African witness following an application by lawyer for the Bushiris, Wapona Kita that the court should dismiss the case in its entirety.

Senior assistant chief state advocate Dzikondianthu Malunda says they were ambushed by the defence application since they were ready to parade their witness from South Africa Sibongile Mzinyathi, who is the Director of Public Prosecutions for Gauteng Province in South Africa.
