In our special report this week, Gabriel Kamlomo and Steve Zimba look at the role played by MDF and state and non-state players in consolidating democracy in Malawi.

In most parts of Africa, political conflict has ended-up in the circumvention of democratic rule. It has been the source of curtail of the will of the people. But in Malawi, this has not been the case.

Gabriel Kamlomo and Steve Zimba retrace the path traveled by the people of Malawi which has this year led to the peaceful delivery of a new state president on June 23, 2020.
