Salima Sugar, Dedza Dynamos Renews Sponsorship Deal

Salima Sugar Company and Dedza Dynamos Football Club have renewed their sponsorship agreement for a further year until March, 2024.

This was revealed on Wednesday at the Company's offices in Lilongwe during a review meeting between the two parties.

Company secretary for Salima Sugar Dr. Charles Thupi said the company is overwhelmed with the performance of the team on and off the pitch including marketing the company’s brand.

"They have done beyond our expectations and as a company we had no any other choice expect to continue working with them," Thupi said.

Thupi has since challenged the Dedza based outfit to do even better this season.

General Secretary for the club Mabvuto Mugode, commended the company for the support saying it is a great motivation to the team ahead of the new season.

"We are more than happy and the company is a great blessing to us as a club."

“We will engage the technical panel and the players before kickoff of the season on how we can beat the target because our aim is to finish in the top four,” Mugode said.

The company has maintained the K48 million-kwacha sponsorship package but the club has been given an opportunity to be a distributor for the company so as to make extra money from the profits gained through selling sugar.

The company provides K5.3 million kwacha every month for the running of the club including providing high quality football kits, football boots, training and match balls as well as football necessary training equipment to the club.

Dedza Dynamos Salima Sugar FC finished 9th in their maiden season in the TNM Super League.
