SEXUAL REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH RIGHTS EDUCATION


KIDS AND FUTURE FOUNDATION with funding from Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) conducted Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights Education in six primary schools in Salima District.

The program aimed at reaching out to the Learners with the massages on the following selected topics; Growth and Body Changes, Prevention of Sexual Transmitted Infections, Prevention of Teen Pregnancy and Early Marriage As teen pregnancies and early marriages cases are on the rise along the shores of Lake Malawi, Salima District has not been spared.

This year the program engaged standard six learners in Senga-bay, Mikute, Ngolowindo, Pemba & Mgwirizano Primary School. Total enrolled learners were 1,207. At the end of the program the Foundation awarded the best performing students with solar powered torches which will help the learners to study at night.
