Inkosi Goman of the Maseko Ngoni has called on tribal groupings in the country to be in the fore front in doing charity works especially during the time of natural disasters by cheering those who have been affected.

Inkosi Gomani made the remarks Saturday when the Maseko Ngoni Heritage Trust presented about 50 bags of cement for the renovation of a brick fence at Namadzi Health center in Chiradzulu which collapsed due to cyclone Freddy.

 

“We are all Malawians. If we can join hands and assist those who have got dire needs in our midst through our various tribal groups,am sure we can help in one way or another in eradicating the prevailing poverty in our country”, said Goman.

 

The Inkosi added that it is the expectation of  the Maseko Ngoni Heritage Trust that once the fence is renovated it will go a long way in enhancing the safety and privacy at the health facility which serves a catchment of about 30 000 people.

 

Chiradzulu Director of Health and Social Services Jamson Chausa said Namadzi health centre is strategically located along the Limbe Zomba road serving people of both Chiradzulu and Zomba districts hence he hailed the Maseko ngoni heritage trust gesture for facilitating towards improved health services delivery at the facility.

 

Cyclone Freddy greatly compromised health services delivery in most health facilities especially in the southern region where hospital infrastructures as well as  equipment were destroyed by the natural disaster.
