Dr Chakwera, Unveils Chilima as Running Mate, Presents MCP/UTM Alliance Presidential Nomination Papers
Dr Lazarus Chakwera, presidential candidate of the MCP/UTM alliance, has presented his nomination papers to the Malawi Electoral Commission for the July 2 election, with UTM leader Dr Saulos Chilima as his running mate.
Dr. Chakwera said he has decided to run alongside Dr Chilima to build a team that would bail Malawi out of its perpetual social economic challenges.
He described Chilima, who is state vice president, as a man with potential but underutilized by the DPP government
