Mzuzu Based Law Firm Demands Allocation of Judges to Mzuzu Registry

A law firm based in Mzuzu has written President Lazarus Chakwera and Chief Justice Andrew Nyirenda demanding the appointment and allocation of judges to the Mzuzu Registry and also the establishment of a commercial court registry.

The law firm lead lawyer, George Jivason Kadzipatike, suggests that either the justice system should recruit judges for the Mzuzu registry or that judges be transferred from overpopulated registries such as Blantyre.

The law firm says it expects action within 30 days on the matters raised lest it shall take other available remedial options.
