Indus Towers Limited announced today that its Board of Directors has approved a strategic plan to expand the company's operations into international markets, beginning in Africa.
The initial expansion will focus on Nigeria, Uganda, and Zambia.
The foray is a key part of the company's strategy for long-term growth and will be executed in close partnership with its anchor customer, Bharti Airtel.
This includes leveraging the established presence of Airtel Africa's businesses, which operate in 14 countries across the continent, including the initial target markets as well as others such as Airtel Malawi, Kenya, Tanzania, and Rwanda.
The company stated that these markets offer attractive prospects for revenue diversification and operational scalability.
The expansion is subject to necessary regulatory approvals in the respective countries.
