Lack of Potable Water Denies Children Access to ECD
The New Life Anointed Ministries has observed that lack of adequate and potable water is denying children learning in Community Based Care Centres (CBCC) access to quality early childhood education.
Bishop for the Ministry, Christopher Kapito has told Zodiak Online on Tuesday that most children come to the centres late as parents walk long distances to fetch water hence they committed to provide the same.
Kapito said the ministry believes that children who have attained early childhood education perform extremely well once they have started primary education.
“We believe that these boreholes would l help children to report for classes on time since their parents will no longer walk long distance, said Kapito.
Meanwhile, Group Village Head Kaledzera has hailed the ministry for the development, saying it will alleviate challenges people face when accessing potable water.
A lot of people in my area are prone to water borne infections due to lack of potable and the donation will help ease such challenges, Kaledzera.
She said special committees have been established to help in sustaining the boreholes so that people should continue accessing potable water in the area.
The New Life Anointed Ministries (NLAM) has drilled three boreholes with financial support from First Baptist Church through Fresch Ministry International to the tune of K 16 Million.
