Crocodile Bites Off Woman’s Arm in Mulanje
A 19-year-old woman is battling for her life at Mulanje district hospital after she was attacked by a crocodile at Ruo River on Thursday afternoon.
A clinical officer who has been attending to the victim, Reagan Dulani, told Zodiak Online that the crocodile bit off the left arm of the woman identified as Tisunge Banda when she was washing her cloths at the river.
“This is the second crocodile attack case from the same area to have been taken to the hospital within the week. Unfortunately both cases have come from the same river and the same area,” Dulani said.
Dulani has since advised people living close to rivers to be cautious when they go to rivers to avoid attacks by crocodiles and other reptiles.
