“We cannot stand on their way because we know there is life after football and probably this is one way making sure they have a better life after they stop playing football.

“This is not the first time for us to experience such a period and we obviously knew this would happen and the good thing we already planned for it.

“If you look at the crop of players that we have in our ranks you will notice that some of them were roped in to replace those that left the club during the last transfer window and it is our hope that they will be able to fill the gap that will be left by these players that will be leaving for police training.”

“We will come out strong when football resumes.” said Kalodzeni.

During the last transfer window Eagles lost Foster Biton to Silver Strikers, Gregory Nachipo to Kamuzu Barracks, Schumacher Kuwali to UD Songo of Mozambique and midfielder Vitumbiko Kumwenda to Mighty Wanderers.
