Sky Energy Africa has unveiled artist Onesimus as a brand ambassador for the company’s Green Earth Project, marking the milestone of an ambitious environmental commitment to plant 10, 000 trees in different regions in 2026.
The Company’s Operations Manager, Kondwani Tchereni said as the company celebrates 10 years of powering Malawi with clean energy, being a leading energy practitioner in Malawi, will continue restoring the environment.
“We started some two years ago, we are planting trees across Malawi, we started with Michiru, Mudi and this year, we are planting in Lilongwe, so we have partnered with Onesimus to be a brand ambassador for the Green Earth project.
“10,000 trees for Sky at 10, the initiative symbolizes a decade of growth, innovation, and environmental stewardship, focusing on reforestation, clean energy awareness, climate responsibility and Community participation,” said Tchereni.
He added that under the theme “Powering a greener Malawi, One tree at a time” the initiative reflects Sky Energy Africa’s belief that renewable energy and environmental restoration must go hand in hand.
“Adding cultural influence to environmental advocacy, celebrated Malawian artist Onesimus has been unveiled as the official Green Earth Ambassador for 2026, using his platform to amplify climate awareness and mobilize youth participation; for this partnership, sky energy will be sponsoring the Armstrong vs onesmus show.
“Turning 10 is not just a celebration of business growth, it is a celebration of responsibility, as we power homes and businesses with clean energy, we must also restore the environment that sustains us; planting 10,000 trees is our commitment to Malawi’s future,” he said.
The Sky Energy Operations manager further explained that the campaign will roll out through tree planting activities around the regions in Malawi, clean energy awareness drives, and community engagement events designed to encourage collective environmental action.
Tchereni stressed that as a leading clean energy EPC company in Malawi, Sky Energy Africa continues to champion sustainable solutions from solar systems and e-mobility to digital energy technologies while strengthening its environmental legacy.
On his part, Onesimus said his key role will be to encourage Malawians especially the youth to go green by planting more trees amid concerns of massive deforestation in the country.
