FDH Bank said it will continue to implement life touching interventions in order to promote a saving culture among Malawians in the country.

FDH Senior Marketing Manager, Ronald Chimchere, during the draw on Wednesday in Blantyre said the Wamkaka Promotion has enabled some citizens to benefit from the various prizes which included bags of fertilizers.

At the final draw, an agro company, Rural Market Development Trust, Rumark Agro dealers, has a emerged a grand winner, pocketing K5 million.

“This has been a very good campaign, a successful campaign. At the beginning of the campaign as a bank what we wanted to do was to promote a savings agenda. Now we have seen at the end of four months an overwhelming response,” said Chimchere.

He added: “Over the course of the campaign we have rewarded 425 customers in total and here the overall winner is walking away with 5 million kwacha.

“Savings is very important in different aspects. The winner is a person running a business and when you are running a business it is important to save because you will need resources and you will need capital. Even as an individual it is important to save so as to progress in one’s life.

The promotion which has been running since April 23 and ended on August 23 saw the bank giving away fertilizers, the Flames national jersey, printed cloth materials, and money in monthly draws and the grand draw.
