The Malawi National Examination Board (MANEB) in conjunction with the Ministry of Education has released the 2022 Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examination results.

The news about the release was announced on Wednesday at a press briefing in Lilongwe.

MANEB Executive Director, Professor Dorothy Nampota, said 83, 846 students out of 154,132 have passed, representing 54.40 percent pass rate.

The results have been released barely two days after first term of this year’s academic calendar began, a development which has pleased the Private School Owners Association of Malawi (PRISAM).

PRISAM Vice President, Patricia Chisi, says this has offered ample time for parents and guardians to prepare well for their wards.

“It becomes difficult for the parents and guardians to decide on what to do with their wards when the results are late.
