AMAMI Calls For Its Members to Observe Standard Precautions-COVID19

In the wake of COVID-19, the Association of Malawian Midwives (AMAMI) is engaging its members in all the hospitals on the need to observe standard precautions.

Secretary General for the association George Nkhoma says midwives are among the frontline in the provision of health care as they always deal with many people.

Nkhoma says for this reason, midwives should first of all prevent the transmission of COVID-19 within the health worker system and treat every woman as a suspect of corona virus, by protecting themselves and a patient.
