National Bank of Malawi has financially supported with K19 million to the Lilongwe Rotary Club to support the construction of computer laboratories at Malawi Council for Disability Affairs, MACODA, and to help women in area 25 build sustainable livelihoods through waste management initiatives.
The Bank says it's partnership with the Lilongwe Rotary Club reflects continued confidence in the club's results-driven community initiatives.
Speaking during the symbolic cheque handover, the banks Account Relationship Manager, Arthur Kawelama, said the contribution reflects their shared committment with the Rotary Club to uplift Malawians, especially the most vulnerable.
"We believe in giving back to the people who we serve and since the club has mechanisms and tools which can easily reach out to people, we thought of partnering with them," he added.
In response, the Lilongwe Rotary Club President, George Naphambo expressed his gratitude, describing the support as a gesture of trust that will further strengthen their life-changing initiatives.
"This partnership with the bank is a clear understanding that progress is achieved when corporations work hand in hand," said Naphambo.
National Bank of Malawi says it remains committed to supporting initiatives that bring real change to the nation.
