Police in Neno district are keeping in custody a 33-year-old woman, Grace Samuel, for allegedly injuring a fellow woman on allegations that she was dating her husband.

According to Police investigations shared to Zodiak Online on Thursday, Samuel who is married was suspecting her husband of having an affair with the victim who is also married but her husband is in South Africa.

Neno District Police publicist Rebecca Msoliza said on 5th July, 2026, the suspect found messages in her husband's phone purportedly from the victim and this made the suspect to call the victim to her house for confrontation together with her husband. 

"In the process of confrontation, the suspect took a boiling pot of water and poured on the face of the victim causing her to sustain blisters," said Msoliza.

Msoliza added that the victim was rushed to Msambi Health Centre before being referred to Neno District Hospital for further treatment.

"And on July 8, 2026, the victim reported the matter to us leading to the immediate arrested of the suspect and will appear before the court of law soon where she will answer a case of acts intended to cause grievous harm," narrated the police publicist.

Grace Samuel comes from Kaingilira village, Traditional Authority Dambe in Neno District.
