Vice President Dr Jane Ansah has pledged to confront long-standing inefficiencies in Malawi’s public service, saying government is committed to strengthening oversight and accountability through digital transformation.
The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development says it has engaged key stakeholders in the construction industry and local councils to ensure they are fully prepared to utilise the K5 billion Constituency Development Fund (CDF) once it rolls out in April next year.
Twenty-four thousand farmers from 12 districts are benefiting from the Soil Health Pilot Study under the Malawi Food Systems Resilience Project, also known as AGCOM 2. The initiative—implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and Total Land Care—supports 1,000 farmers per EPA in three selected EPAs in each participating district, providing inputs aimed at restoring soil health and boosting crop yields.
