Thyolo Police Arrest a Suspected Thief

A 28-year-old man Stanly Kauya has been arrested in Thyolo for possessing property suspected to have been stolen valued at K3.5 million.
Thyolo Police deputy publicist, Rabecca Kashoti said on Thursday that Kauya who hails from Mangulenje Village in the area Traditional Authority Nazombe in Phalombe has been arrested on Thursday morning by officers at Planters Tea Agency (PTA) Number-1 police check point.
"In the process, officers came across a Toyota Hiace Minibus which was coming from Mulanje heading towards Thyolo and after conducting a thorough check they spotted the items," she said.
The items include Apple computer set, Dell CPU, two keyboards, APC battery and Cannon printer and the Dell has Mount Mulanje Conservation Trust (MMCT) sticker.
Kauya is expected to appear in court to answer theft charge.
