Kavina Donates K40 Million to Kamuzu Barracks, Blue Eagles

Owner of Champions Stadium, King Msaiwale Kavina, has donated K40 million to two TNM Super League sides, Kamuzu Barracks and Blue Eagles in a move aimed at supporting clubs that frequently use the Mponela-based facility.

Each club received K20 million during a handover ceremony held at BICC in Lilongwe on Sunday evening.

“These two clubs have been loyal users of Champions Stadium for some time now. I have e seen their struggles and felt compelled to step in and assist. This donation is my way of giving back and helping them overcome some of their financial challenges,” said Kavina

Kavina, a businessman, said he is committed to improving football infrastructure and supporting clubs that show dedication to the game.

Kamuzu Barracks Chairperson, Major Dickson Mhango, expressed gratitude for the timely support.

“This is a huge boost for us. Running a Super League team comes with significant costs and this financial injection will go a long way in addressing some of our critical needs," said Major Mhango.

Blue Eagles Chief Administration Officer, Muhammad Ali, also hailed the donation as a game-changer for the club.

“We are deeply honored by this gesture. This kind of support is rare and we applaud Mr. Kavina for recognizing the efforts of clubs like ours. It will help us cover travel, equipment and operational expenses,” said Ali.

Both clubs pledged to use the funds responsibly and continue working hard on and off the pitch.
