Demand for safe water in Malawi has compelled Evidence Action, an international organization advocating for access to clean water, to scale up installation of chlorine dispensers around water sources in the southern districts of the country from 3, 811 in 2021 to 16, 232 now under Safe Water Now project.

Two people who were wrongfully arrested and detained in 2020 over murder of a person who later turned up alive may not be heard in court on their claim for the next four years, and they are concerned.

Harlod Moya and Moffat George were arrested and were in detention for over three years on suspicion they had murdered a person that later turned out to have fled to Mozambique and is alive.

The Ministry of Local Government Unity and Culture, has challenged traditional leaders in the country to ensure that they promote discipline and unity in their jurisdictions.
