The Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) has urged young people to take a leading role in conserving the environment, warning that failure to do so could expose the country to adverse weather conditions in the future.
In bid to reduce speed of water running into Mpasadzi river which recently washed away Mpasadzi bridge along the M1 road in Kasungu, Tobacco Commission (TC) has planted over 2000 trees around the source of the river in the district.
Kasungu District Health Office has said it is owing service providers MK142 million, attributing the situation to among others high inflation rate recorded from last year.
The government has reiterated calls for the country's smallholder farmers to adopt the use of manure and stay away on the over depedency of chemical fertilisers to maximize their farm yields.
